China to Award Young Law Experts
2004-11-10

The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Institute of Law is now organizing to award outstanding young experts in law, a step aimed at encouraging young law experts to contribute more to rule of law in China.

Xia Yong, director of the CASS institute, said here Tuesday that the award, named Fading, is open to any law expert under the age of 39 who has had academic papers or books published in recent years.

The institute also sets up an independent expert panel for judgment and final decision on awarding. The panel is led by Wang Jiafu, who chairs the China Law Society's academic committee.

Established in October 1958, the CASS institute is the most authoritative and prominent in law research and education in China.
