The Development Zone in north China's Tianjin Municipality topped 50 billion yuan (about 6.02 billion US dollars) in the production value of the IT industry last year, thus becoming the largest IT industrial center in China.
A broadband network with 1G in bandwidth and a total capacity of 10G has been established in the zone. An optical fiber network has connected factories, schools and homes, making the zone among the most advanced in China.
The zone is expected to set up China's first E-government in half a year, with all political affairs handled on-line. The government will first introduce enterprise management system to meet the ISO9000 quality inspection standard. |
