A company in east China's Shandong Province has successfully produced a quartz chinaware roller after five years of intensive research, signaling that the world's third production base of top-grade quartz chinaware has been set up in China following that of the U.S. and France.
The quartz chinaware roller is deemed a key part of the production line in the production of toughened glass.
China currently has over a hundred such production lines for toughened glass, and the number is increasing at about 30 to 40 percent annually.
The Zhongbo company in Shandong is a hi-tech company supported by a local chinaware research institute. The annual capacity of the company currently stands at 150 tons and will reach 600 tons in a year's time. |
