China Launched Seven Regulationson Networking Administration

Li Yan In order to strengthen management of China's Internet and network news disseminating, related departments implemented a total of seven regulations on network administration last year to bring China's Internet management onto a legal trail. The seven regulations include Regulation on Managing Security of Domestic and International Computer Information Network, Measures on Internet Information Service Management (draft), Provisional Regulations on Managing Websites Engaged in News Publication, Regulations on Managing Internet Electronic Bulletin Service, Explanation on Hearing Computer Network Copyright Infringement, Resolution on Protection of Internet Security, etc. According to experts, measures adopted in the aforesaid regulations have regulated the behavior of some websites, and especially bring some portal websites run by individuals under control in the content of publication. In order to keep pace with the international trend and abide by China's commitment of entry into the WTO, related government departments are working hard to revise and complete the relevant laws and regulations. |
