The first China Forum on Internet and Media opened here this morning, with leaders and experts from 150 Internet media organizations nationwide attending.

As the first large-scale professional forum of its kind, participants in the two-day conference will focus on discussing how to further develop Internet media in China and the Internet development trend. They will also explore the ways to select good Internet news stories.

Attending the forum are leaders from the Publicity Department of CPC Central Committee, the State Council Information Office, the Information Industry Ministry, the All-China Journalists Association. The forum is hosted by Xinhuanet.com in cooperation with People.com.cn, China.com, CCTV.com, Chinadaily.com.cn, CNNIC.net, CRI.com.cn, CNRADIO.com.cn, Beijingnews.com.cn, Eastday.com, CNZJ.org.cn etc.
