China has set up a research  center on nano biology in central south China's Hunan Province.

   The research center, established at Hunan University, will  focus on studies on biological nano technology, which combines  nano and biologic technologies and represent an international  scientific forefront.

   A state-level key laboratory will soon be set up to support the research, according to sources.

   Since the 1970s, Hunan University has been leading domestic  research on chemical and biologic transduction technologies.

   In recent years, a group of world-level study results have been reaped through joint research on nano technology and biological  technology.
