The first hi-tech forum of Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province, will be held on December 28-29 in the city to speed up its technological development.
The forum is jointly hosted by the leading Chinese University of Science and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences Hefei Branch and China High-Tech Property Exchange in Shenzhen.
The major topics will be the prospects of China's high-tech industry's progress after China's accession to the World Trade Organization and how tech related projects integrate with venture capital.
International experts and scholars at the forum will focus on the industries of biomedicine, information technology, nanometre materials and electric autos.
Meanwhile, a fair will be organized to attract venture capital for tech-heavy projects in the city.
