Though facing a sluggish international market, south China's Guangdong Province has witnessed a double-digit growth in export of its hi-tech products this year.
According to sources with the provincial foreign trade commission, in the first ten months of this year Guangdong's hi-tech products export grew 27.9 percent year-on-year to 17.51 billion U.S. dollars, while its total exports were valued at 77.71 billion U.S.dollars, up 2.2 percent.
In the period, 54 large enterprises each exported more than 50 million U.S. dollars worth of hi-tech products.
Most cities on the Pearl River Delta reported a double-digit growth rate in the regard, with 31.2 percent for Shenzhen, 26.6 percent for Dongguan, and 31 percent for Zhuhai.
The United States, Japan, Holland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region are the major buyers, who imported 71.6 percent of the high-tech products. |
