The Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) is the only national art educational institution in China directly under the Ministry of Education of the P.R. China. There are many famous professors in our Academy, which makes it an important center of Chinese art creation and research. During the 20th century, our faculty’s creation and research achievements were quite influential in and out of China for their excellent academic quality. Since the reform and open policy started, we have been actively undertaking teaching reformations. On the basis of the existing advantages, we have developed new subjects that satisfy the needs of the country’s modernization, and have formed a teaching pattern that allows different subjects to advance together. In order to make our academy to be a first-class art institution that presents the advanced standard of the whole country and that is world-known for its unique academic quality, we are now recruiting professors and pace-setters in research from home and abroad. I Job Vacancy

The candidates who can also take charge of teaching management have priority to enroll under the equal condition.

II. Requirements for Applicants

1. Enthusiasm for Chinese Education, rigorous and honest.

2. Usually with Doctor Degree, master degree in some majors; under the age of 45, under the special circumstances, under the age of 50.

3. High standard in academic field, and with important achievement which is generally acknowledged worldwide.

4. Actively in research thought and development potential; with creative ideas and strategic thoughts, able to lead the young and the middle aged echelon surpass or keep the international advanced standard; able to direct the state-class research program.
5. Teamwork spirits and leadership, care for academic echelon construction.

III. Working Conditions and Pay

There are two ways of employment: one is to be transferred to CAFA; the other is to be employed according to a contract.

1. The transferred take the equal salary and welfare with the faculty in same kind of post. Medical treatment, housing, and retirement are carried out according to the relative regulations of the state.

2. The engaged domestic and foreign experts and academicians take the following condition of work and treatment:

⑴Dean of the school of Architecture

Salary and welfare:  240,000 RMB per year. The one-off settling subsidy is 300,000 RMB.

Condition of work:

①CAFA will help applying all kinds of research found, and provide the corresponding research outlay.

②I f necessary, according to the fact of CAFA, we will provide research assistants, and the priority in distribution of the studios.

⑵The professor and pace-setter in research

Salary and welfare:  200,000 RMB per year. The one-off settling subsidy is 200,000 RMB.

Condition of work:  

 ①CAFA will help to apply all kinds of research found, and provide the corresponding research outlay.

②I f necessary, according to the fact of CAFA, we will provide research assistants, and the priority in distribution of the studios.

IV Services Time

The employed should finish the relative task of teaching and research, subject construction, and management. Service time should be at least 5 years with more 9 months per year working in CAFA. If the service time is less than 5 years, the employed should withdraw whole or part of the one-off settling subsidy.
