CERNET National Center is the OAM center with the highest authority, which is responsible for operating and maintaining the CERNET backbone connecting the 8 regional network centers, networkwide IP address allocation, domain registration and information service concerned, and providing high-speed computation services networkwide. In addition, CERNET National Center is also liable for interconnection between CERNET and the outside, including other nets both at home and abroad. CERNET National Center comprises of the following divisions: Customer Service Division, responsible for expansion of user base, subscriber management and client service for CERNET nationwide. Communication Trunk Division, responsible for commissioning and cutover of CERNET international and national trunks and CERNET backbone lines, as well as operation and maintenance of these facilities and communication equipment concerned. Network Operation Division, responsible for CERNET interconnection with other nets at home and abroad, cutover/maintenance/management of CERNET backbone, accomplishing network resource registration/allocation/management and furnishing information services concerned. Computation Service Division, responsible for management and maintenance of service systems for high-performance computer resources and other important information resources oriented to CERNET users, providing responsible services to users of high-performance computer and important information resources. |
