Networking experts from China and the United States gather annually at the Chinese - American Networking Symposium (CANS) to discuss new ideas and advancements in networking technologies. The annual programs, alternately held in the USA and China, include presentations by networking experts, panel discussions, and executive and technical breakout sessions.

CANS 2004 is the 5^th annual event and will be held in Nov. 30 – Dec 2 in Miami, Florida and hosted by Florida International University. CANS 2004’s subject is Toward Next Generation Advanced Networks.
