3-Level hierarchy
CERNET's 3-level Management Hierarchy The national backbone, the regional networks and the campus networks
The National Backbone and the International Networking --the national backbone topology: a 3-ring topology structure centered round Beijing. --the national backbone telecommunication line: the DDN leased line, with its top treansmission rate reaching as high as 64 Kbps to 2.048 Mbps.
The International Networking From the international exit in Beijing, CERNET has already opened up the international telecommunication channel leading to the Internet in the United States, with a transmission rate of 128Kbps to 2Mbps. It will soon build another two international telecommunication channels leading respectively to HARNET in Hongkong and DFN in Germany.
