“Mandarin Star” Contest Semi-final Round Victory Ended

On May, 15-16, the semi-final round of “2010 Chinese Mandarin Star contest” was held successfully in Beijing Jiaotong University. 60 participants brought exciting variety of talent shows and we could see everyone’s enjoyment in site. And within one week 18 of them will become finalists to enter the last contest in late may.
The contest began at 13:30, about 300 friends and classmates gathered Saturday and Sunday afternoon to watch this exciting performance. Some of the contestants had their own cheering team and these gatherings have a warm atmosphere. 60 so different impressive performances got applause from time to time.
There are Taichi performed by participants from Beijing Language and Culture University; the beautiful dance- Pavane will also be never unforgettable; a girl who from Singapore played a stand-up comedy with hitting the Tianjin allegro, that we know she especially went to Tianjin to learn allegro for two weeks; Calligraphy artistic performance of Wanting Li from Peking University was full of rich scholarly atmosphere and eastern charm; and what made the hall burst into thunderous applause was Hunan Drum drama “Liu Qiao cut”; All the people present were moved to tears by poems with music; and some of the students who chose to sing a song also surprised all.
After the last day’s competition, some of the participants were invited to Beijing TV for recording the programs at 17:30. A week later 18 lucky players will receive their pass directly to the final contest.
Through this competition, we can clearly see the Chinese internationalizing in the whole world. More and more overseas students who strongly keen on both Chinese language and traditional culture. Participants’ wonderful performance in “Mandarin Star” contest will become a memory for integration of different cultures. Let's look forward to the splendid final moment in late May! |
