中国学生决胜ImagineCup微软全球学生大赛

On August 1, in YOKOHAMA, Japan we listened as the final winners were announced for the Imagine Cup 2005. This followed an intensive week of competitions among finalists from a pool of nearly 17,000 students representing more than 90 countries, all vying for the chance to demonstrate their strengths in software engineering, and to win cash prizes totaling close to a quarter of a million dollars. Comprised of nine university-level and three high-school-level invitationals designed to help students explore opportunities available to them through technology, the Imagine Cup is now in its third year and the largest, most inclusive competition of its kind. This year’s Imagine Cup challenge is to find real-life solutions to the issues facing the world today and to “imagine a world where technology dissolves the boundaries between us”. We are pleased to be able to tell you that our large team of 20 students from China performed incredibly well, bringing the praise and respect of attending audience from all around the world.

- Chinese students from Beijing University of Technology won the 1st place in the Rendering competition

- Chinese students from Beijing University of Technology won 3rd place in the Software Design competition.

- Chinese students from HuaZhong University of Science & Technology won the 3rd place in the Rendering competition.

- Xiaomin Chen from China won the 2nd place in Algorithm

- Chinese students from HuaZhong University of Science & Technology won the 3rd place in Office Designer.

- HongKong high school student won the 1st place in Web Development High School category.
